Prompt Telemedicine Services for Pulmonary Medicine & Sleep Disorders
If you need top-notch treatment for a pulmonary condition or sleep disorder, you can depend on West Coast Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders Center. While we have two clinics located in Oxnard, CA, and Camarillo, CA, we also offer telemedicine services to our patients. This way, you can receive the great care you need from our board-certified pulmonologists, board-certified sleep specialists, or experienced physician assistants without leaving your home. Whether you’re concerned about your snoring or pauses in breathing at night or need a second opinion about your diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis, we’re here to help through our telemedicine services.
How It Works
After you request a visit with us, you’ll be sent a secure link to our HIPAA-compliant audiovisual platform where the appointment will take place. You’ll want to use a smartphone, tablet, or webcam-enabled computer during this visit so that we can have a face-to-face appointment with you.
During the appointment, we’ll learn about your medical history and discuss the symptoms you’re experiencing. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions so that we can deliver the well-rounded medical care you deserve. From there, we can put together a recommended treatment plan.
Some patients may need follow-up care, especially if they need a pulmonary function test, imaging scan, or an in-lab sleep study from our ACHC-accredited sleep disorder center. Our sleep medicine services are available for patients 13 years of age and older. However, certain tests can be completed at home. For example, we offer at-home sleep study kits that allow patients to perform a sleep study in the comfort of their own homes. The sleep kit includes instructions on how to use the equipment, and we’re always available for assistance over the phone, should you need it. Then, once the study is complete, you’ll mail us back the equipment and we’ll analyze and interpret the results. We will then request a follow-up appointment to go over the test results.
